Technical Sales Representative S08-01
GrammaTech is looking for smart technical sales reps that have
a get-things-done focus. These are sales positions, but with a
technical component. We have great products and highly intelligent
customers. If you are strong technically and like low-hype selling,
this position could be a good fit.
The sales rep will be expected to work out of
Boston MA, Washington DC, or GrammaTech's offices in Ithaca NY.
GrammaTech will cover some relocation costs if necessary.
Successful candidates will:
- Conduct presentations for prospective customers using web
conferencing software (e.g., WebEx).
- Track leads/opportunities, move evaluations forward, and close
deals.
- Provide initial pre-sales technical support to engineers evaluating
GrammaTech products.
- Respond to both technical and non-technical questions from
prospective customers.
- Work to expand existing accounts.
- Represent GrammaTech at tradeshows and other lead-generation
events.
Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree is required. A degree in computer science,
electrical engineering, or related field is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years experience in technical sales. Experience selling
to software developers and managers is strongly preferred.
Candidates with software engineering
skills will be strongly favored. We are especially interested in
knowledge of
- C/C++
- Windows and Unix
- Build environments (e.g., make)
Some travel will be required (up to 20%).
